When I was looking up MIDI on wikipedia, there was an image that detailed the it's note to number index or something. When I clicked to download the high resoultion version, it a format my computer never saw before and I got the "what program do you want to use" massage. As always, I selected trusty Infanview. But it didn't work! I dicided to research the this mystery format and out about the found out about the new (reletively) format called
[link] Scalable Vector Graphics or SVG It's a rival format for flash kind-of, but not's really why I'm giddy. The reason I'm giddy is because there is an opensource editor out there for it, called

Now while I'm yet to even try this new format, it has left me very exited, mainly cause it's still in development. Sometimes I use Flash 5 for when I have something that I just have to draw. But I find a few flaws with the format, namely the inability to MIDIs and the amount of processing power needed. Thought I haven't even heard about any audio capacities SVG has. But if SVG does aquire MIDI support, it would be fricken awesome.
